District Magistrate inspects EVM warehouse in Kanpur Dehat with political party representatives

District Magistrate Kapil Singh conducted the monthly inspection of the Electronic Voting Machine warehouse in Kanpur Dehat today in the presence of representatives from various political parties. The inspection was carried out to ensure that all security protocols and maintenance standards are being properly followed at the sensitive facility.

During the inspection, the District Magistrate reviewed the CCTV surveillance system, cleanliness, and overall maintenance of the EVM warehouse. He issued necessary directions to the concerned officials to maintain high standards of security and upkeep. Singh emphasized that special attention must be paid to cleanliness, security arrangements, and maintenance at the EVM warehouse at all times.

The District Magistrate instructed officials to ensure that all necessary arrangements at the warehouse are kept in proper working order by regularly complying with the guidelines issued by the Election Commission. He stressed the importance of maintaining these standards at regular intervals to safeguard the integrity of the voting machines stored at the facility.

The inspection was attended by Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Amit Kumar, Joint Magistrate, and Assistant District Election Officer Girwar Prasad. Representatives from recognized political parties were also present, including Shekhu Khan and Brijmohan Yadav from the Samajwadi Party, Shyamu Shukla from the Bharatiya Janata Party, Govind Yadav from the Congress Party, Ashutosh Gautam from the Bahujan Samaj Party, and Ram Shankar from the Aam Aadmi Party. Other public representatives, officers, staff members, and security personnel were also in attendance during the inspection.

The monthly inspection is part of the routine procedure to ensure transparency and security of EVMs stored in the district warehouse between election periods.
