Diesel Tanker, Potato Truck Catch Fire After Head-On Collision In Morena

A diesel tanker and a truck loaded with potatoes caught fire after colliding head-on near Kheriya Mod, close to Tikri, in the Rithora police station area of Morena on Monday night. The collision was so severe that both vehicles caught fire soon after the crash.

The two drivers managed to save their lives by jumping out of the vehicles in time. Both trucks were completely gutted in the fire. There is no information about anyone being injured or killed in the accident.

According to the information available, the accident took place near Kheriya Mod, close to Tikri, when the diesel-filled tanker and the potato-laden truck collided head-on. The fire broke out in both vehicles after the impact and quickly intensified.

As soon as information about the accident was received, Rithora police station in-charge SI Santosh Babu Gautam reached the spot with police personnel. The SDOP also arrived at the accident site with police personnel and took steps to manage the situation.

Given the seriousness of the fire, fire tenders were called from Morena and Banmore. Firefighters reached the spot and worked to put out the flames. After efforts at the scene, the fire was brought under control. However, both vehicles had already been completely destroyed by the fire.

Police personnel remained deployed at the accident site after the collision. Arrangements were made to manage traffic so that other vehicles passing along the road would not face problems and no further accident would take place.

Rithora police station in-charge SI Santosh Babu Gautam said that the diesel-filled tanker and the truck loaded with potatoes had collided head-on. He said both vehicles caught fire after the collision and that the drivers saved themselves by jumping out.

According to the station in-charge, fire tenders were called from Morena and Banmore, after which the fire was brought under control. He said there had been no loss of life in the accident.
