A man allegedly assaulted another and fled with ₹60,000 in Aligarh's Rorawar area, police said. The incident took place three days ago near the Bhimpur liquor shop, where the victim, Guddu, a resident of Neebri village, was drinking beer at an illegal canteen.

According to Guddu, he took out a wad of cash from his pocket to buy more beer when Satendra Kumar, a resident of Sadalpur village, snatched the ₹60,000 and ran away. Guddu immediately reported the matter to Rorawar police, who acted swiftly. Police reached the spot, investigated the case, and registered an FIR based on Guddu's complaint. The accused was arrested and sent to jail on Saturday.
