Cocktail Party to Push Fake Pesticides: Sex Racket Busted, 62 Held

Police in Uttarakhand's Ramnagar have busted a high-profile sex racket and cocktail party running at a well-known resort, arresting 52 men and 10 women at the spot on Monday evening. In a startling twist, police allege the party was not merely for entertainment — it was thrown to boost a network selling fake pesticides to farmers in Uttar Pradesh.

Meerut firm hosted the party

According to information gathered so far, the party was arranged by Umendra Kumar, who owns a pesticide company in Meerut. Umendra allegedly organised the cocktail party to grow his business network and push sales of counterfeit pesticides, using what police describe as a sex racket for entertainment.

Bulandshahr trader also arrested

The action also netted a trader from Bulandshahr. Among those arrested is Brajesh, son of Sunil Singh, a resident of Gopalpur village under Sikandrabad police station in Bulandshahr. He reportedly runs his own pesticide company in Bulandshahr and was said to be a key part of the network.

All accused from UP

Police said the resort was raided on Monday evening acting on firm intelligence. All 52 men and 10 women arrested at the spot are residents of various districts in Uttar Pradesh.

"This party was not just for entertainment. Behind it was a large racket working to sell fake pesticides to farmers and strengthen its supply chain," police said. "Cases under relevant sections have been registered against all the accused and further legal action is under way."

The revelation has caused a stir in agricultural and trading circles across UP and Uttarakhand. Police are now investigating which other districts and major dealers in UP are linked to the network.
