According to sources, CM Sukhu may raise demands for compensation to address the financial losses caused by the discontinuation of Revenue Deficit Grant (RDG) and the GST system. He is also likely to advocate for more effective disaster relief and compensation mechanisms for hill states impacted by natural calamities.
The meeting will see participation from all state Chief Ministers, Union Territory Lieutenant Governors, and senior central government officials. It is considered a key platform for fostering policy coordination and cooperative federalism between the Centre and states.
Discussions are expected to cover topics such as human resource development, education, skill development, employment generation, and entrepreneurship.
