Class 10 student beaten by multiple students outside college gate in Uttar Pradesh

A Class 10 student was badly beaten by several students outside his college gate in Ikauna town of Shravasti district in Uttar Pradesh after a dispute escalated into violence, police said.

Shivakant, a Class 10 student at Jagjit Inter College, was standing near the college gate after school dismissal when an argument broke out with some other students over some issue. The dispute quickly turned into a physical assault, according to allegations. Several students surrounded Shivakant and beat him, leaving him seriously injured.

The incident took place at Jagjit Inter College in Ikauna. Shivakant is a resident of Khajurar village which falls under the Payagpur police station area of Bahraich district. After the school declared a holiday, he was standing near the college gate when the dispute began with some students. After the verbal exchange, the students allegedly assaulted him.

Family members transported the injured student to CHC Ikauna in a private vehicle, where he was given primary treatment. Police were informed after he received initial medical care. The family members have demanded action against the accused students.

Police are currently investigating the matter on the basis of the complaint filed by the family. The reason behind the incident and the role of the students involved will become clear only after the investigation is completed, police said.
