Claims of Missing 1,250 Shri Ram Shilas Surface; Allegations Against

Santosh Dubey, founder of Dharm Sena, has claimed that 1,250 Shri Ram Shilas made of gold, silver, diamonds, and other precious metals, collected during a 1989 campaign for the Ayodhya temple, are now untraceable. According to Dubey, these shilas were stored in Karsevakpuram under the supervision of Champat Rai, who was responsible for their security. Despite being kept in a secured area with three locks, the shilas reportedly went missing after 2002.

Dubey further alleged that the most expensive shila came from Mauritius, while a Mumbai trader donated a diamond-studded shila. He also stated that the shilas were part of a larger campaign by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) to gather donations and materials for the temple. The campaign encouraged people to contribute Rs 1.25 or more and to send worshipped shilas from their homes.

Dubey accused Champat Rai of a lack of transparency in handling donations and shilas. He claimed that even the donation boxes placed near the Shri Ram temple model in Karsevakpuram were not properly accounted for. Dubey also alleged that the trust's financial records did not mention the gold and silver shilas, raising further questions about their disappearance.

When a Divya Bhaskar team attempted to seek Rai's response, they were reportedly denied access at the trust office.
