Cabinet Minister Ashish Patel Reaches Kanpur Dehat, Meets Party Workers

Apna Dal (S) working president and Uttar Pradesh government Cabinet Minister Ashish Patel visited Kanpur Dehat, where he held a review meeting with party workers and discussed upcoming political strategies.

After the meeting, Patel spoke to journalists and targeted the opposition, especially the Samajwadi Party. He also claimed that the NDA would register a big victory in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

Responding to the Samajwadi Party’s claim that the Bharatiya Janata Party would be reduced to 50 seats in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, Ashish Patel took a sharp dig at the party. He said, "यह उनका अपना विचार हो सकता है। ख्याली पुलाव पकाने में किसी को कोई दिक्कत नहीं होती।"

Patel said the people of the state and the country had already made their mandate clear in the elections of 2017, 2019, 2022 and 2024. On that basis, he claimed that in 2027 as well, the NDA would again form the government in Uttar Pradesh with a two-thirds majority.

The Cabinet Minister also responded to questions about seat-sharing within the alliance and the demand for seats by Apna Dal (S). He made it clear that whatever seats his party gets in the alliance, Apna Dal (S) gives a full guarantee of victory on those seats.

Patel was also asked about the recent political meetings and statements of Nishad Party chief Sanjay Nishad. Taking a swipe at him, the Cabinet Minister said, "लगता है उन्हें कोई दर्द है, इसीलिए वे दर्द की दवा ढूंढ रहे हैं।"

Emphasising the strength of the alliance, Ashish Patel said Apna Dal (S) has been an unbroken part of the NDA since 2014. He said the party has been following the coalition dharma with full strength and will continue to stand firmly with the NDA in the future as well.

Patel’s remarks in Kanpur Dehat came during his interaction with party workers and the media, where he underlined both the organisational review within Apna Dal (S) and the party’s position within the NDA alliance. His comments focused on the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, the Samajwadi Party’s claim about the BJP being limited to 50 seats, the NDA’s prospects, seat-sharing for Apna Dal (S), and his response to Sanjay Nishad’s recent political activity.
