BSF battalion at Bhinga celebrates Raksha Bandhan with sisters from local communities

The 62nd Battalion of the Border Security Force at Bhinga celebrated Raksha Bandhan on August 28, 2026, with great enthusiasm and warmth, reinforcing the bonds of affection and protection between brothers and sisters. The festival was observed under the guidance of Commandant Shri Amarendra Kumar Varun at the battalion headquarters, with the participation of sisters from Ekal Vidyalaya and the Brahma Kumari Ashram.

During the ceremony, sisters tied sacred rakhis on the wrists of BSF officers and personnel, symbolizing the pure bond of love, trust, and protection that defines the relationship between siblings. The festival not only honored this traditional bond but also highlighted the values of respect and mutual support. In return, the BSF personnel presented gifts to the sisters, expressing their gratitude and affection toward them.

Officiating Commandant Shri Lalendra Ratnakar, who serves as Second-in-Command, extended heartfelt greetings to all personnel and the visiting sisters.
