BJP Ticket Aspirant Honours 165 School Sanitation Workers in Shravasti

As political activity intensifies ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections, BJP leaders and potential candidates in Shravasti district have stepped up their public outreach and participation in social programmes. In this backdrop, Subhash Satya, the block pramukh representative who is seeking a BJP ticket, organised a caretaker felicitation ceremony in Hariharpur block of the Bhinga Assembly constituency.

The programme was held under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan being conducted on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The event was presented as part of the campaign’s focus on service and public engagement, as political aspirants increasingly seek to establish their presence among people through community programmes and direct contact.

During the ceremony, 140 women sanitation workers and 25 male sanitation workers from schools were honoured. Sarees, shawls and other garments were presented to them as part of the programme. The organisers described the event as an initiative linked to service and respect for sanitation workers.

Former MP and District Panchayat Chairperson Daddan Mishra attended the programme. District Minister Dinesh Arya, Gram Pradhan Bhavesh Singh, Sudhir Singh, Shivkumar Maurya and Balwinder Singh were also present. Several other local leaders and workers took part in the ceremony.

The increased activity is also being viewed in a political context, with the Assembly elections drawing closer. Leaders and prospective candidates appear to be using social programmes and public outreach to strengthen their claims in the constituency and expand their reach among voters.

However, the BJP has not yet made an official announcement regarding its candidates. This has kept the question open over which face the party will trust in the upcoming election. The contest among aspirants is also likely to remain a focus of political attention as they continue their public activities and efforts to build support.
