BJP leader seeks Bharat Ratna for late Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh

A young BJP leader has called for posthumous Bharat Ratna recognition for the late Kalyan Singh, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and a key figure in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Praveen Singh, founder of the Bundelkhand Youth Foundation, made the demand on social media on the occasion of Kalyan Singh's death anniversary on August 21.

In his message, Praveen Singh described Kalyan Singh's life as a symbol of principles, resolve, and dedication to national service. He emphasized that Kalyan Singh's role during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and his leadership as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh would always be remembered. The late leader, often referred to as "Babuji," was among the prominent leaders associated with the movement that culminated in the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Praveen Singh highlighted that even during difficult political circumstances, Kalyan Singh never compromised on his principles. He stated that Kalyan Singh's personality and public life continue to serve as an inspiration for today's youth. The BJP leader underscored the former Chief Minister's unwavering commitment to his ideological beliefs despite facing challenging political situations during his tenure.

Making a strong pitch for the country's highest civilian honor, Praveen Singh argued that conferring the Bharat Ratna on Kalyan Singh would be a true national tribute to his contributions. He paid emotional homage to the late leader on his death anniversary, offering heartfelt respects to Babuji.
