Bilaspur Police Seize 47.25 Grams Of Chitta, Punjab Youth Held

Bilaspur district police have reported a seizure of 47.25 grams of chitta during a checking operation in the Ghumarwin police station area of Himachal Pradesh. A case has been registered under Section 21 of the ND&PS Act, and Ghumarwin police have started further investigation.

According to the police briefing, the checking was carried out near the Mandrighat Link Road on the Bhaloh four-lane road. SDT Bilaspur had set up a naka and was checking vehicles in the area when vehicle number HP01KA-0930 was stopped and inspected.

During the checking, police allegedly recovered a total of 47.25 grams of chitta from the possession of 23-year-old Rahul, who is a resident of Bagdadi Gate, Faridkot, tehsil and district Firozpur, Punjab. The source identifies Rahul as a youth from Punjab.

Following the recovery, a case was registered at Ghumarwin police station under Section 21 of the ND&PS Act. The police said the investigation into the case is continuing.

Investigators are also looking into the source of the recovered narcotic substance and its possible network, according to the briefing. Bilaspur Superintendent of Police Abhishek Dhiman confirmed the case and the recovery.
