Big Twist In Akhilesh Dubey Case: Hotelier Suresh Pal Backtracks On Statement

A major turn came today in court in the extortion case linked to well-known advocate Akhilesh Dubey in Kanpur, after hotel businessman Suresh Pal went back on his earlier statement.

Suresh Pal told the court that he had not submitted any application against advocate Akhilesh Dubey. He also said that there was no case of extortion of Rs 2.50 crore. In court, Pal said, “I have not given any application against advocate Akhilesh Dubey, and there is no matter of extortion of Rs 2.50 crore.”

The case had begun on the basis of a complaint filed by Suresh Pal himself. On 7 August 2025, the hotel businessman had lodged a case at Kidwai Nagar police station against advocate Akhilesh Dubey, alleging a demand for Rs 2.50 crore as extortion.

Police had taken action against Akhilesh Dubey on the basis of that report. But with the complainant now retracting his statement in court, questions have been raised over the police investigation and the action taken so far.

Supporters of Akhilesh Dubey are calling it a conspiracy. After Suresh Pal’s statement, the court hearing in the matter has become even more closely watched.
