BDO inspects five cow shelters in Pratapgarh after complaints of neglect

Block Development Officer Rajeev Pandey conducted a surprise inspection of five temporary cow shelters in the development block area amid complaints being received about cow shelters. The inspection took place in Pratapgarh district and covered facilities located in Rasoiya, Dilippur, Premdhar Patti, Sangapatti and Paranpur.

During the inspection, BDO Rajeev Pandey examined the arrangements for fodder, water, hay and checked the maintenance registers at each shelter. He personally fed fodder to the cattle with his own hands and also put garlands on them and applied tilak. The inspection revealed some minor shortcomings, and the BDO directed the concerned employees to rectify these deficiencies at the earliest.

The Block Development Officer issued instructions to keep the arrangements for fodder, water and other facilities for cattle in proper condition at the cow shelters and to conduct regular monitoring. He warned that if any kind of negligence is found in the arrangements, responsibility will be fixed and action will be taken. The surprise visit was part of efforts to ensure proper care and maintenance of cattle housed in the temporary shelters across the block area.
