Bath Spa University Expands Academic Programmes for September 2026, Offers Automatic Scholarships to Indian Students

Bath Spa University, a prominent public institution in the UK with a history tracing back to the 19th century, has announced an expanded range of academic programmes for its September 2026 intake. The initiative aims to cater to the growing interest among Indian students in pursuing globally recognised qualifications and enhancing their career prospects.

Located in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath, the university's main campus at Newton Park offers a serene and culturally rich environment. Additionally, the university operates several other teaching sites in Bath, including Sion Hill, Locksbrook, Oldfield Park, Paintworks, and Corsham Court, the latter being a Grade I listed Elizabethan manor housing its School of Art and Design. For international postgraduate students, Bath Spa also offers a dedicated campus in Hackney, East London.

The university's expanded academic offerings include new undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Psychology, and Forensic Science. At the postgraduate level, new programmes cover cutting-edge fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity and Emerging Technologies, Architecture, Accounting and Finance, Fashion Management, and specialised law programmes in Cyber Security and International Commercial Law. These additions complement the university's established strengths in the creative arts, education, humanities, and business.

As part of its commitment to supporting international students, Bath Spa University has introduced an Automatic Scholarship scheme for the September 2026 intake. All international students enrolling in undergraduate or postgraduate programmes at the Bath campuses will receive a £2,000 scholarship, while those joining the MBA programme at the Hackney campus in London will receive a £4,000 scholarship. These scholarships are applied directly at the offer stage, simplifying financial planning for students and their families.

The MBA programme at the Hackney campus offers additional value through an embedded qualification. Students who complete all required modules will also earn a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), a leading UK professional body. This dual qualification is included at no extra cost.

For Indian students, the university has established clear and accessible entry requirements. The admissions process includes a single CAS Shield interview, which serves as the primary verification step before issuing a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). Importantly, no fees are required before clearing this interview. Once the interview is successfully completed, 70% of the tuition fee must be paid for CAS issuance, with the remaining 30% due after visa approval and before travel to the UK. Payments are accepted only through Flywire or via debit and credit cards, with bank transfers not being an option.

Key deadlines for the September 2026 intake include completing applications and interviews by 3rd August, submitting deposit payments by 10th August, and receiving CAS documents by 17th August. Enrolment week is scheduled for the week of 15th September. Prospective students and education consultants in India can contact the university's dedicated India office at [email protected] for further information. Full course details and admission criteria are available on the university's official website.
