Baramulla Police Review CCTV Coverage, SIM Vendor Records In Chandoosa

Baramulla Police conducted a security review in the Chandoosa area on September 29, 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen security, surveillance and preventive policing in the district.

According to the press note, the review focused on the existing CCTV camera coverage and its accessibility in the area. Police assessed the current surveillance arrangements, with particular emphasis on strengthening monitoring systems and ensuring effective watch over vulnerable locations.

The review also included checks of SIM vendors operating in the Chandoosa area. Police verified whether the vendors were complying with the prescribed procedures for maintaining subscriber records and carrying out proper verification of customers.
