Aparna Yadav, vice-president of the Uttar Pradesh State Commission for Women and daughter-in-law of late Mulayam Singh Yadav, attended the Ramleela programme in Amethi as the chief guest. During the event, she gave wedding assistance cheques and sarees to nine destitute girls and wished them a happy and auspicious married life.

The programme was held at the Ramleela ground in Amethi town on the ninth day of the Ramleela staging, which has been continuing for the past nine days. Aparna Yadav performed the aarti of all the characters of the Ramleela, including Lord Ram, Mata Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman. She also offered bhog and distributed prasad.

The programme carried a message of religious faith as well as the need to help and respect daughters in need. The assistance was given as part of an initiative being run by Ramleela committee president Rajesh Masala.

According to the details shared at the event, Rajesh Masala had been providing one destitute girl every day with a cheque of 1 lakh 51 thousand rupees for marriage from the first day of Sharadiya Navratri. Under this initiative, all nine girls received their wedding assistance cheques and sarees from Aparna Yadav on the ninth day of the Ramleela.

Aparna Yadav praised Rajesh Masala for the initiative. She said that providing such substantial financial assistance for the marriage of girls who do not have parents was a commendable act. She also said that capable people in society should take inspiration from such efforts and help families in need.

She made another announcement from the stage, saying that next year, during Navratri, she would provide financial assistance of 1 lakh 51 thousand rupees per girl from her own side for the marriage of five girls from Amethi.

Aparna Yadav said that participating in the Amethi programme was an emotional moment for her. She said that helping daughters in need was like shaping their lives.

Speaking about the Ramleela episode, she said that whether it was Ravana of the Treta Yuga or Ravana of the Kaliyuga, everyone should give up the sins in their minds and give Lord Shri Ram a place in their hearts. She gave a message to remember the name of Ram and follow the path of righteousness.

Aparna Yadav also responded to questions related to Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. She said that the Election Commission is an important constitutional institution and that everyone should respect it while remaining within constitutional limits.

On Chandrashekhar Azad’s statement challenging Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, she said that restrained language should be used for the Chief Minister. When asked about contesting elections, she said that the Bharatiya Janata Party would take a decision in this regard.

Aparna Yadav also commented on the wording used in the protocol issued during her arrival in Amethi. The protocol described her as the daughter-in-law of former Chief Minister late Mulayam Singh Yadav.
