Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently shared a humorous take on the relentless passage of time, suggesting that a 24-hour day should be extended to 36 hours to accommodate everything he wants to accomplish.

In a reflective post on his blog, the veteran actor wrote, "So much to do and so little time in the 24 hrs … a day should be extended to 36 hrs … !!!" He added philosophically, "And the philosophy of life says that when that happens it shall be asked [to] extend to 48 hrs."

Despite his musings on time, Bachchan ended on a lighter note, expressing his excitement to watch a football match. Referring to the FIFA World Cup 2026 game between Portugal and Congo at Houston Stadium, he remarked, "Toh chalo bhaiya, khela dekhne vo jo paon se khelte hai (So, let's go watch the game—the one that's played with the feet)."

The actor also shared his enthusiasm on X (formerly Twitter), posting, "T 5775 - ahahahaaahh .. what fun .. !" The tweet appeared to reference the 1-1 draw between Portugal and Congo in the match held on Wednesday.
