Amethi Police Bust Illegal Pistol Factory Under Chakravyuh Operation
Amethi Police have busted an illegal country-made pistol factory under Operation Chakravyuh, officials said.
According to the police, two accused were questioned, and 16 illegal weapons along with equipment and machines used for making them were recovered from their possession. The recovery included 11 fully made illegal weapons, 5 semi-finished weapons and 4 live cartridges.
Police said the illegal arms-making factory was being run in a forest area under the Shukul Bazar police station limits. The accused allegedly made illegal pistols and sold them in the area.
The accused are residents of Lucknow. Amethi SP disclosed the details while addressing a press conference.
