During the inspection, the District Magistrate found disorder in the distribution of fertiliser and long queues of farmers at the centre. He expressed displeasure over the situation.
The inspection also found that fertiliser was being distributed at the centre through only one POS machine.
Shashank Chaudhary directed that show-cause notices be issued to the Deputy Agriculture Director, the District Agriculture Officer, the centre in-charge and the IFFCO Area Manager in connection with the matter.
He instructed that adequate stock, according to demand, be made available within two days. He also directed that fertiliser distribution be ensured through three POS machines.
Additional resources were ordered to be arranged so that farmers would not have to wait unnecessarily at the centre.
