Administration Raids Liquor Shops In Chandausi, Panic Ensues

The action was taken on the instructions of the government. For the inspection of liquor shops, the administration had formed separate teams, which visited different outlets across the city. The focus of the inspection was on checking the available liquor stock, matching it with the records maintained in the stock register, and gathering information related to over-rating.

SDM Ashutosh Tiwari reached the liquor shop located at Badaun Chungi and carried out an inspection there. Naib Tehsildar Udayveer Singh checked the liquor shop located on Bahjoi Road. The Tehsildar and other Naib Tehsildars also inspected different liquor shops in the city as part of the same drive.

During the inspection, officials examined the liquor stock available at the shops and matched it with the details entered in the stock register. They also checked the condition of cleanliness at the outlets.

Officials also spoke to customers who had come to buy liquor and sought information from them about whether they were being charged more than the fixed price, which is referred to as over-rating.

SDM Ashutosh Tiwari said that surprise inspections of liquor shops were conducted on the instructions of the government. He said the facts that came out during the inspection would be shared with the concerned officials.

Revenue Kanungo Sushil Kumar, Lekhpal Sudhir Kumar and other officers and employees were present during the inspection.
