8 People Injured in Hathras Clash as Both Sides Trade Assault Allegations

Eight people were injured after a dispute between two groups in a village under the Mursan police station area of Hathras escalated into a violent clash. According to the information available, both sides used sticks and batons during the confrontation. The injured were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Both groups have accused each other of assault and stone-pelting. The police have started investigating the matter and are examining the allegations made by both sides.

Manoj Kumar, a resident of the village, said that his younger brother Jitendra was sitting outside their house. During that time, an argument broke out over an issue with Ramkhiladi and members of his family, who belong to the other side.

Manoj alleged that after the argument, people from Ramkhiladi’s side reached their family’s home carrying sticks and batons and attacked them. He said that several people, including himself, Jitendra, Madhav, Vikram, Rajkumari, Priyanka and Tanu, were injured in the assault.

Manoj also accused the other side of carrying out an attempt on their lives. He described the attack as serious and said members of his family were hurt during the clash.

Ramkhiladi, from the other side, rejected these allegations. He said that Jitendra was standing near the house and was abusing them. According to Ramkhiladi, the dispute began over this issue, after which Manoj and other people assaulted members of his side.

Ramkhiladi also accused the other group of pelting stones during the incident. Both sides have therefore presented different accounts of how the dispute began and how the violence unfolded.

After receiving information about the incident, the police began investigating the case. Police officials are checking the allegations made by both groups. Further action is expected on the basis of the complaints submitted in the matter.
