110 Elderly Devotees Begin Spiritual Journey to Ayodhya from Unnao

In a heartwarming initiative, 110 elderly devotees from Unnao embarked on a spiritual journey to Ayodhya under the “Pankaj Gupta Shravan Kumar Pilgrimage Scheme” organized by Sadar MLA Pankaj Gupta. The group was flagged off from Girjeshwar Temple in Girjabag locality, with two buses carrying the pilgrims to the sacred city of Lord Ram. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and enthusiasm as the elderly prepared for their visit to Ayodhya.

MLA Pankaj Gupta personally interacted with the pilgrims before their departure, inquiring about their well-being and extending his best wishes for the journey. Speaking on the occasion, he expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the elderly, whom he described as akin to parents. “It is a privilege to facilitate this pilgrimage for our respected elders. Their blessings are the greatest asset for both society and families,” he said.

Gupta emphasized that the initiative aims to honor senior citizens by enabling them to visit revered religious sites. He assured that such efforts to connect elders with their spiritual roots would continue in the future. The program reflects the values of respect and care for the elderly, inspired by the legendary Shravan Kumar, who devotedly served his parents.

The event saw active participation from local leaders and community members, including former councilor Brijesh Verma, city president Avneesh Gupta, and several others. Their presence highlighted the collective support for the initiative, which has been widely appreciated in the region.
