Sea Cadet Corps Invites Applications for 2026 Batch Visakhapatnam: The Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), Visakhapatnam Unit, has announced the opening of applications for its 2026 batch, inviting schoolchildren to join its ranks.
Eligible candidates include boys and girls aged 10 to 12, born between August 1, 2014, and July 31, 2016, who are currently studying in Classes V, VI, or VII. Applicants are required to have a working knowledge of English.
Application forms will be distributed at the INS Circars Command Swimming Pool on June 20, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. To collect the forms, candidates must present a study certificate along with certified copies of their birth certificate and Aadhaar card.
Completed applications are to be submitted at the same venue on June 28, during the same time window. The selection process will include a written test, a physical test, and an oral test, scheduled for July 5.
Successful candidates will receive call letters by August 1, and training for the 2026 batch will commence on August 2. The SCC is a voluntary youth organisation that provides training in various disciplines such as drill, shooting, swimming, boat pulling, semaphore, and rigging.
Its aim is to instill discipline, confidence, and leadership skills among cadets. Training sessions are held every Sunday from 7 a.m. to noon.
