PM Highlights 12 Years of Women-Led Development Across Sectors

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on June 12, 2026, emphasized the government's sustained efforts over the past 12 years to promote women-led development across various sectors. Speaking through a series of posts on social media, he highlighted the significant role women are playing in fields such as education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, science, and governance.

The Prime Minister expressed particular pride in the growing participation of women in emerging areas like space, science, and drone technology. He noted that these advancements are not only opening new opportunities but also reshaping the nation's development landscape. "India's Nari Shakti is the cornerstone of nation-building," he remarked, sharing a Sanskrit Subhashitam to underline the importance of women's empowerment.

Shri Modi also pointed to the government's active support for Self Help Groups (SHGs), which he said are instrumental in making women financially independent. He added that these initiatives are rooted in dignity, opportunity, and empowerment, creating an environment where women can realize their full potential.

The Prime Minister's comments come as part of the #12YearsOfNariShakti campaign, celebrating the achievements of women under the NDA government's tenure. He noted that women are excelling in diverse fields and contributing significantly to the pride of the nation.
