Om Birla: Youth to Play Key Role in Building a Developed Bharat by

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has stated that the Youth Parliament program has emerged as an effective platform for strengthening democratic values and preparing future leaders in the country. Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 'Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament-2026' held in the historic Central Hall of the Constitution House, he called upon the youth to draw inspiration from the ideals and values of the Constitution and actively contribute to achieving the goal of a developed Bharat by 2047.

Om Birla highlighted that millions of youth across the country are participating in this program, gaining an understanding of democratic processes, and enhancing their leadership skills. He informed that over 50 lakh youth are currently part of the Youth Parliament initiative, which is fostering democracy through dialogue, discussions, and constructive debates.
