Indian Railways is set to launch a new and advanced IRCTC website by July 15 to resolve technical issues related to captcha, login, and ticket booking. The upgraded platform will feature a simplified user interface, increased server capacity, and improved speed and stability, particularly for Tatkal ticket bookings.
This initiative was prompted by a complaint from Labhisha Meena, a student from MNIT Jaipur, regarding difficulties with the current IRCTC platform. Following her complaint, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw directed action on the matter. Subsequently, senior officials, including the Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board, held a video conference with the student to discuss the proposed website. During the meeting, feedback and suggestions on the prototype of the new platform were sought from the student.
The new website aims to enhance the overall user experience and address long-standing issues faced by passengers during ticket booking.
