Gold and silver prices have witnessed notable declines as of June 10, reportedly due to rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-carat gold has decreased by ₹4,090, bringing it to ₹1.48 lakh per 10 grams. Similarly, silver prices have dropped by ₹9,658, now standing at ₹2.36 lakh per kilogram.

Over the past 10 days, silver has seen a cumulative decline of ₹27,000, falling from ₹2.63 lakh per kilogram on May 31. During the same period, gold prices have decreased by ₹8,000. Experts suggest that geopolitical tensions have led investors to withdraw funds from metals and hold cash instead.

Silver has experienced a significant drop from its all-time high of ₹3.86 lakh per kilogram, recorded on January 29, 2026, to its current price, marking a total decline of ₹1.50 lakh over 130 days. Similarly, gold, which reached ₹1.76 lakh per 10 grams on January 29, 2026, has now fallen by ₹28,000 since then.
