A woman was seriously injured after jumping from the third floor of a house on Nainagarh Road in the Kotwali police station area of Morena. The incident took place at around 4 am on Tuesday.
She was taken to Morena District Hospital and was later referred to Gwalior and then to Delhi for treatment. Her condition in Delhi remains critical. The woman has been identified as Bhumi Sharma, wife of Harendra Sharma.
However, the circumstances that led her to take the step have not yet been established. Information about the incident and the reason behind it is still awaited. A video of the incident has surfaced.
The video shows the woman standing at the balcony of the third floor of the house before jumping below. People standing on the ground can be seen trying to persuade her and stop her from taking the step. Despite their efforts, the woman did not listen and jumped.
A child can also be heard calling out, “Mummy-Mummy,” in the video. The scene shows the seriousness of the incident and the efforts made by people present at the spot to prevent the woman from jumping. Several questions remain unanswered in connection with the incident.
Although the woman has been identified as Bhumi Sharma, the reason why she jumped from the third floor is not clear. The source of the information about the incident and the sequence of events before the jump are also yet to be established.
The Kotwali police have not confirmed receiving information about the incident. According to CSP Kavindra Singh Chauhan, the situation will become clear only after information is received from the hospital in Delhi.
