In a significant development in the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Nashik case, fresh allegations of harassment and forced religious conversion have come to light.
According to the chargesheet submitted last week in a Nashik court, the accused allegedly targeted victims through a planned conspiracy.
One victim revealed to the police that she was shown videos of Pakistani Islamic clerics Tariq Jameel and Zakir Naik, purportedly to educate her about Islam.
The accused reportedly asked her to stop listening to bhajans and visiting temples, claiming that 'Allah forgives all sins.' The case involves nine female employees of TCS Nashik, who filed complaints in April alleging sexual harassment and coercion.
So far, eight individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. One of the accused, Danish Sheikh, allegedly exploited the victim under the pretext of reducing her 'mental stress,' promising marriage despite being already married.
The victim stated that Sheikh encouraged her to take Allah's name more frequently, claiming it would absolve her sins and increase her good deeds.
The chargesheet includes statements from 106 witnesses, including the complainants, their families, TCS employees, members of the company's POSH committee, and investigating officers.
