Six Women Killed in Budaun Wedding Preparation Accident

Six Dead in Tragic Budaun Accident: Wedding Preparations Turn to Mourning Budaun, Uttar Pradesh – A devastating accident on the Bareilly-Mathura highway has left six women dead, turning a family's wedding celebrations into a scene of unimaginable grief.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon when two tractors, reportedly racing, collided with an e-rickshaw carrying the victims. Among the deceased, four women belonged to the same family.

The women, who had set out singing traditional wedding songs, were on their way to perform the "bhath" ritual when the tragedy struck. In the aftermath, the joyful tunes of celebration were replaced by heart-wrenching cries of despair.

The accident has left a deep void in the family of Dalchandra, a resident of Murawan Nagla in Budaun. His household, which was preparing for the wedding of his son Kumar Pal in just 12 days, is now grappling with the loss of Kumar Pal's mother, sister, and two sisters-in-law.

The once-bustling neighborhood now lies in eerie silence. Among the victims was Sarla, who had joined the family just a year ago after marrying Dalchandra’s second son, Bhojraj.

Sarla had been eagerly involved in the wedding preparations but now leaves behind memories of her short-lived happiness. The tragedy has also orphaned several children.

Dalchandra's daughter Narayani Devi, who was married in Kasganj district, lost her life in the accident, leaving her three children motherless. Similarly, Veerpal’s wife, Gangashree, also perished, raising concerns about the future of her two young sons.
