Rakesh Bedi denies PMO script rumors for blockbuster Dhurandhar

Dhurandhar Script Came from PMO? Rakesh Bedi Dismisses Claims, Says ‘No One Can Think Like This’ Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has firmly denied rumors that the script of the blockbuster film *Dhurandhar* originated from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

Speaking at the Amrit Ratna 2026 summit in New Delhi, Bedi addressed the speculation, which began circulating after the film's massive success. Bedi, who portrayed the character of Indian agent Jameel Jamali in the film, humorously dismissed the claims.

Recalling a popular dialogue from the movie, he said, “Your b*ocks are very white,” a line delivered in reference to a group of ducks in one scene. Using this as an example, he quipped, “When the film became a hit, some people said the script came from the PMO.

I said, ‘Tell me, who in the PMO could possibly write a line like this?

No one could even think of something like that.’” The actor also reflected on his creative contributions to the film, particularly his efforts to incorporate moments of humor into an otherwise intense narrative.

He shared how he suggested adding comic relief to director Aditya Dhar, who was initially hesitant but later embraced the idea. “As we progressed, he started enjoying it too, and I began enjoying it as well,” Bedi said.

Beyond the rumors, Bedi spoke about the transformative impact of social media on how audiences engage with films today. Comparing the current digital era to earlier times, he noted, “Earlier, people learned about films through posters on walls and roads.
