Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron inaugurated the first edition of Bharat Innovates 2026 on June 14, 2026, in Nice, France.
The event, organized by India's Ministry of Education, aims to strengthen Indo-French collaboration in deep tech innovation and global partnerships.
The three-day event, held at the Palais des Expositions de Nice, features 120 cutting-edge technologies developed by Indian innovators and institutions.
Key sectors showcased include artificial intelligence, semiconductors, biotechnology, healthcare, energy, and space technologies. The program includes 11 panel discussions, masterclasses, B2B matchmaking, and investor pitch sessions involving over 50 startups.
During the inauguration, PM Modi emphasized India's leadership in innovation, stating, "Bharat innovates for a sustainable future and the whole world." President Macron highlighted the event as a testament to the strong Indo-French ties and their shared commitment to scientific
and industrial collaboration. The initiative aims to foster partnerships between Indian innovators and global stakeholders, promoting India's integration into global innovation networks.
It also seeks to deepen bilateral cooperation in science, technology, education, and entrepreneurship. Bharat Innovates 2026 reflects the shared vision of India and France to build a future-ready innovation ecosystem driven by transformative technologies and collaboration.
