Misbehaviour Complaint Against Gauriganj Doctor, Driver; Amethi CMO Forms Inquiry Team

A complaint has been filed over alleged misbehaviour by Dr Ruchika Seth, posted at the district hospital in Gauriganj, and a private driver associated with her.

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Amethi has constituted an inquiry team and assured that action will be taken soon, according to the complainant. The complainant said that on 26, October, his younger brother Shubham took his wife Pratima to the district hospital in Gauriganj.

According to the complaint, Dr Ruchika Seth told Pratima, “I will not take the slip after 8 o’clock,” and spoke to her in abusive language. The complainant said that because of the alleged behaviour, Shubham had to get treatment from another doctor.

After receiving information from his younger brother over the phone, the complainant went to the hospital to seek details. He alleged that a person sitting at the gate behaved rudely with him.

The complainant said he later learned that the person was not a hospital employee but the doctor’s private driver. He also alleged that the driver was collecting the government hospital slips.

Questioning the situation at the government hospital, the complainant said he had a video of the incident. He further claimed that this was not the only such case.

According to him, Vivek Tiwari of Sambhava and the family of advocate Shashank Singh of Barna Tiker also had to go to private facilities and Rae Bareli for treatment because of the same reason. The complainant said he submitted a written complaint to the CMO of Amethi.
