Ghaziabad Police Crack Luxury Vehicle Theft Gang, Recover Stolen Fortuner Within 24 Hours

Ghaziabad: In a major success against organized vehicle theft, Sahibabad Police have busted a luxury car theft gang and recovered a stolen Toyota Fortuner within just 24 hours of the crime. Two members of the gang have been arrested during the operation.

According to police officials, a complaint regarding the theft of a Toyota Fortuner from the Sahibabad area was received on June 9. Taking swift action, the police registered a case and formed a dedicated team to investigate the matter.

Through technical surveillance, intelligence gathering, and prompt investigation, the team successfully arrested two accused, identified as Shavez and Shahwaz. The police also recovered the stolen Fortuner along with two fake registration number plates from their possession.

Gang Stole Luxury Vehicles on Demand During interrogation, it was revealed that the gang specialized in stealing luxury vehicles based on specific customer demand.

The gang's alleged kingpin, Nadeem, who is currently absconding, would identify and assign target vehicles to the gang members. Before executing the theft, the accused would conduct detailed reconnaissance of the targeted vehicle and its surroundings.

They would often damage nearby CCTV cameras to eliminate evidence and avoid identification. After stealing the vehicles, the gang would transport them to other states, where chassis and engine numbers were allegedly altered to conceal their identity.

The vehicles were then sold illegally through various channels. Hunt for Mastermind Intensified Police officials stated that efforts are underway to apprehend the gang's absconding kingpin, Nadeem.
