Suniel Shetty Reflects on Box Office Anxiety Ahead of 'Welcome to the Jungle' Release

Veteran actor Suniel Shetty, with over 100 films to his credit, has opened up about the persistent nervousness that accompanies a film's release, regardless of experience. As he prepares for the release of his upcoming comedy-drama *Welcome to the Jungle*, Shetty shared his thoughts on the emotional rollercoaster that actors face and the unique aspects of the film.

In an interview with ANI, Shetty candidly admitted that the anxiety surrounding a film's performance at the box office never truly goes away. "Yes, absolutely. Everything is connected to it. A film's success is tied to its box office performance," he said. Reflecting on the unpredictability of the industry, he added, "One Friday you may be on top, and the next Friday you may not. So yes, there's always excitement, anxiety, tension, and nervous anticipation."

Despite these uncertainties, Shetty expressed confidence in *Welcome to the Jungle* due to its remarkable ensemble cast. "This film has an incredible ensemble cast: Akshay, Paresh ji, Johnny bhai, Arshad, Tusshar, Shreyas, Daler paaji, and many others," he noted, adding that such a lineup provides a "certain safety net." However, he acknowledged the unpredictability of audience reception, explaining, "The film is truly very entertaining. I can't say whether it's good or bad because everyone's perspective is different. When we watch the film, we enjoy it immensely. But when the audience watches it on Friday, their perspective can be completely different."

Directed by Ahmed Khan, *Welcome to the Jungle* follows a group on a mission to find a once-famous actor whose career has taken a nosedive after a string of flops. The film boasts one of the largest ensemble casts ever assembled for a Bollywood comedy, featuring stars such as Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, Johnny Lever, Jackie Shroff, and many more. The movie is slated for a theatrical release on June 26, 2026.
