Karnataka High Court Informed of Fire Safety and Trade Licence Violations in Bengaluru PGs

The Karnataka High Court has been apprised of widespread violations of fire safety and trade licence regulations in paying guest (PG) accommodations located in Bengaluru East. The information was presented by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and the Greater Bengaluru Association (GBA) during a recent hearing.

According to the GBA's inspection report, a significant number of PG facilities in the area fail to comply with mandatory fire safety norms and lack valid trade licences. These violations pose potential risks to the safety and well-being of residents, many of whom are students and working professionals.
