Gym Trainer Arrested for Rs 50 Lakh Jewellery Theft in Abu Road

Police in Abu Road, Rajasthan, have arrested a gym trainer, Masuk Khan, for allegedly stealing jewellery worth Rs 50 lakh and Rs 2 lakh in cash. The accused, a 30-year-old married man and father of one, reportedly committed the theft to fulfill a promise made to his girlfriend to take her on a trip to Nainital and Ooty after Eid.

According to police, the theft occurred on the night of April 11 at a house in the RIICO area of Abu Road. The family, who had left for Gujarat on April 10, discovered the theft upon their return on April 12. Investigations revealed that Masuk, who had access to the house due to his gym-related visits, had stolen a set of keys earlier. He used these keys to enter the house and steal the valuables while avoiding CCTV cameras.

Masuk reportedly spent the Rs 2 lakh in cash on personal expenses and had plans to use the stolen jewellery to fund his trip. However, police apprehended him on May 29 in Gandhidham, Gujarat, after tracking his movements through CCTV footage and ATM withdrawals. The stolen jewellery has been recovered, and further investigations are underway.

Police are also probing Masuk's involvement in other cases. It was revealed that he operated a small gym near Ambaji and had no formal fitness training. He allegedly maintained relationships with multiple women in the region and had previously traveled with them to various locations.
