CEC Gyanesh Kumar Visits Agra Temple for Blessings After Successful Elections

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar visited Kailash Mahadev Temple in Agra early Tuesday morning. Accompanied by his wife Anuradha and parents, he performed rituals including aarti and milk offering at the temple. The visit lasted approximately 45 minutes, during which he sought blessings for upcoming electoral processes.

Speaking to the media outside the temple, Kumar reflected on the successful completion of elections in five states—West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry. He emphasized the importance of transparent elections, stating that a clean voter list is the foundation of fair electoral processes. Kumar encouraged citizens to register for voter ID cards and actively participate in elections.

Prior to the temple visit, Kumar arrived in Agra on Monday evening from Delhi. He first visited his ancestral home in Vijay Nagar, where he met his parents, Dr. Subodh Kumar Gupta, a former Chief Medical Officer, and Satyavati. He sought their blessings by touching their feet. Later, he visited the residence of Agra District Magistrate Manish Bansal, who is also his son-in-law, and interacted with family members. Kumar's daughter, Medha Rupam, serves as the District Magistrate of Noida.

The visit highlighted Kumar's personal and professional commitment to ensuring transparent elections while seeking divine and familial blessings for his responsibilities.
